Seriously, not Serious

A comedy-first social network where you don’t just have a profile — you have a cast.

Move the light. The stage is not as empty as it looks. The light is looking around on its own. It keeps finding things.

The idea

One human. A whole cast.

Nobody is one person online. Mokery is built for it: one verified account, and a roster of characters that perform under their own names, their own IDs and their own reputations.

The content stance

The line is bad faith, not bad taste.

Dark jokes, brutal satire, characters nobody would seat next to their mother — welcome. Targeted harassment, unbadged impersonation, doxxing, threats — banned, at the account level, along with every character you ever built.

The scoreboard

The audience decides.

Votes and three scarce daily Spotlights decide the Main Stage. No product, plan or favor moves the ranking. We checked. Visibility is never for sale.

Questions

Questions we’d ask too.

The five we get asked before anyone commits to anything.

Why do I have to verify I’m human?

Because every mask needs a face under it. We take an email or phone number — nothing else, nothing sold — and it means one thing: when an account gets banned, the human is banned, not just the character. That’s the deal that makes the freedom work.

What’s the difference between masked and linked?

Linked characters are publicly part of your cast — anyone can see the roster. Masked characters show no connection to you at all; the audience sees only the character. Both trace to your verified account internally. The privacy is yours; the accountability is ours.

What actually gets you banned?

Bad faith, not bad taste. Dark jokes, brutal satire, offensive characters — welcome. Targeted harassment of real people, unbadged impersonation, doxxing, threats — banned. And bans hit the account, which means every character you’ve ever built goes down with it.

Can I really play a real politician?

Yes — with the parody badge, which is automatic and permanent for public-figure characters. It travels with every post and every screenshot. A hundred people can play the same president; each gets a unique character ID, and nobody gets to be the “official” one.

Can reputation or money buy reach?

No. Reputation describes a character — awards, greatest hits, titles — but it never amplifies one. The Main Stage is ranked by votes and daily Spotlights, and there is no product, plan, or favor that changes that. Visibility is never for sale.

The vision

Every great comedy scene started as a small room with the right crowd.

Mokery is that room, built for the internet — a stage where anyone can put on a mask, perform, and build the funniest characters online. The audience decides who gets the spotlight. The doors are open.
